Resetting Your WordPress Password

How to Reset Your Admin Password

First, navigate to your website's login screen by typing /wp-admin at the end of your URL (for example: yourwebsite.com/wp-admin). Once you are there, follow these instructions:

  1. Locate the Reset Link: Look just below the login boxes and click the link that says "Lost your password?"

  2. Identify Yourself: Enter either your username or the email address associated with your account.

  3. Check Your Inbox: Click the "Get New Password" button. You will receive an email shortly; if you don't see it within a few minutes, please check your Spam or Junk folder.

  4. Follow the Link: Open the email and click on the link provided at the very bottom.

  5. Set a New Password: A page will open with a suggested strong password. You can use that one or type in your own. Once you’re ready, click "Save Password."
